Principal
I hope you find our website and school to be as welcoming as the people who make up the Audubon School family. At Audubon our mission is to develop and challenge each child’s personal, social and academic potential so that he or she will become a productive citizen in society.
I am fortunate to have worked at Audubon for the past twenty-one years. I was a classroom teacher from 1995 until 2002. I served as the physical education teacher from 2002 until 2012 and have been the principal of Audubon Elementary since the fall of 2012. Before working at Audubon, I was a first and second grade teacher at St. Nicholas Elementary in Evansdale, IA.
My family and I take pride in being a part of the Dubuque Community School System. My wife teaches preschool at Fulton Elementary and both of my children have benefited from the great education and everything else the Dubuque Community School System has to offer.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends in my free time. I enjoying reading. I enjoy traveling to warm places and cheering for the UNI Panthers and Iowa Hawkeyes. Most of all, I really enjoy my work and all the rewards and opportunities my chosen profession has granted me.
